For Prospective Researchers

What kind of lab are we?

The Lazazzera Lab is a microbiology and molecular biology research laboratory. We encourage undergraduate students to find as much exposure to research as possible and our lab is excited to train the next generation of scientists.

What do our researchers do?

Our undergraduate researchers develop valuable laboratory experience in a variety of molecular biology techniques.

What do our researchers go on to do?

Researchers will find themselves well prepared for graduate schools and other employers following graduation. Alumni have pursued a broad range of opportunities including CLS, MS, MBA, Ph.D. and M.D programs.

How can I apply to work in the lab?

Contact Professor Lazazzera at BethL@microbio.ucla.edu, or use the contact form below to tell us who you are and how you'd like to work with us.

What is the time commitment?

This varies with your work schedule and the nature of the experiments you will be conducting. Researchers typically spend 15-25 hours a week working on lab-related material. This includes experiments, meetings, papers, and presentations.
